Hospitality Trends Conference - Bucharest

 

Is an event meant to address the opportunities and challenges of investing, developing and running the hospitality business in South Eastern Europe, with special focus on Romania. Each year Trend Hospitality Consulting & Management and INTEHL - The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the École hôtelière de Lausanne are organizing this main regional hospitality conference where industry professionals make things happen.

 

Programme highlights include two plenary sessions, six breakout sessions, sponsor's exhibition and HTB Awards Gala, a ceremony designed to recognize true leaders in the hospitality industry. On this occasion, Trend Hospitality Consulting & Management will award the prizes of the industry in the field: Hotelier of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Reward, Best Initiative in Hospitality Education, Opening of the Year, Best New Development.

 


During 19 - 22 March 2009, THR participated in the Tourism Fair of Romania, an event which took place in the ROMEXPO Exhibition Center, Bucharest.

At 10 years of existence, THR thanks all those who entrust us the future of their career in tourism and hospitality.

 

It is the time for former students to implement what they learned.

 

Soon, THR will launch  the Tourism Jobs Fair.

 


During 2 - 3 October 2008, THR attended the Spa Tourism Exchange an Forum organized by OPTBR in the Aro Palace Hotel, Braşov.

 

During 23 - 26 October 2008, THR participated in the Tourism Fair of Romania which was held in the well-known location, ROMEXPO Bucharest.

 


THAI COOKING CLASS

 

Under the high patronage of the Embassy of Thailand, THR together with the National Tourism Authority of Thailand organized during 23 - 25 June 2008, the "Thai Cooking Course". This was sustained by two chefs from Thailand.

1. EXCELENCE IN GASTRONOMY

The Alain Ducasse Formation institute of higher education in gastronomy, by the “Synton” European Co-operation Association and the THR Bucureşti, the host of the event, organizes the series of ”Excellence in Gastronomy” courses in modules of various themes.

 

The first three ADF modules are:

 

1. Alain Ducasse’s cuisine (25th-29th February, 2008);

2. Banquet creation and production (3rd-7th March, 2008);

3. 3 - star entrées and platters (24th –28th March, 2008).

 

The series of modules comprises a “Trilogy” of the festive cuisine refinement responded to our intention to serve the interests of those hosting the invitees to the event of the year – the NATO Summit – for whose welcoming the host chefs would show their mastery.

 

The three institutions joined their forces in their endeavour to provide the participants, besides the opportunity to discover the secrets of the great masters of the world gastronomy, be also introduced to a high class methodology starting from the organization, the exigency for quality and preparation techniques including everything that means the secret held by the “wizard chefs” of transforming all they touch into a 3-star Michelin refinement.

 

 

At the end of every course, the participants will get an “Excellence in gastronomy” certificate, issued by the Alain Ducasse Formation-Paris.

 

 


POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT certificat de L’Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne (EHL) under the aegis of the Royal Institute of Hotel Management (RIHM) in co-operation with the THR Bucureşti.
